Obama Meets Netanyahu, Three Scenarios: A Satire

1.  This is the scene many people seem to be expecting:

The aide put his head into the Oval Office, “Mr. President, Prime Minister Netanyahu is here!”
And Barack Obama quickly stood up and ran out of the room, down the hallway, and into the waiting room where the Israeli prime minister and his entourage were waiting. Netanyahu put out his hand to shake with the president, but instead Obama cocked his fist and hit Netanyahu right in the news. The surprised prime minister fell over onto the floor….

2. Cut to alternative vision, from Obama’s supporters….

“Mr. Prime Minister,” says the president, “I just love your country. Ever since I was a little boy, I have adored the Jewish people as I was just telling to Rashid last week. I just want you to know I am a true friend. By the way, I had the Reverend Wright executed just this morning as a sign of my true sentiments.”

3. In contrast here’s what I expect:

“Mr. Prime Minister,” Obama shook his hand warmly and the two men looked into each other’s eyes and smiled warmly. Obama thought: “I can’t stand this guy! He’s like a Republican! He seems as if he might dare defy me, the world's greatest genius! And I don’t think Ahmadinejad and Asad are going to make a deal to be peace-loving moderates if I’m too nice to him. But then, on the other hand, I don’t want to get into a big crisis with Israel’s supporters, I do want to get him to make peace with the Palestinians and not attack Iran next Thursday, I know the American people support Israel, and I might need Netanyahu's help if Tehran and Damascus don't play nice. So I’d better be nice to him. ”
