Syrian President Bashar al Assad received Iran's highest national medal today when Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad gave him the Grand National Order of the Islamic Republic of Iran for his support of the Palestinian and Lebanese nations.
(Yes, to use an expression once employed by V. Lenin, Bashar supported them like a rope supports a hanged man.)
Then the two leaders signed a number of trade and other cooperation agreements.
Wonder if the Obama Administration is rethinking its policy of engaging Syria yet. Hint: I think Iran and Syria are allies to destroy U.S. interests in the Middle East. Ya think?
